Are you handicap accessible?

Yes! The main entrance to our building from the corner of Gravois and Cooper has a ramp leading all the way to the lobby. The sanctuary and fellowship hall are on that same level. In addition, we have a ramp leading down from that main level to a side door that exits to the street parking on Gravois.

Do you have nursery?

Yes! We have nursery available during our worship service on Sundays. Our nursery area is conveniently located across the hall from the sanctuary.

What time do things start on Sunday?

We currently have fellowship & worship on Sundays at 10AM.

What do people normally wear on Sunday?

You will see people in everything from casual to formal wear. We invite you to wear clothes that are comfortable for you!

Where do I park?

We have several parking areas surrounding the church. The main lot is located across from the church at the corner of Gravois and Cooper. There is also street parking around the church, and there is a smaller parking lot located behind the church. You can reach this lot from Cooper street or Gravois Ave.

Do I have to give money?

No, we don’t invite you to First Baptist for your giving. We want our service to be a gift to you. When you visit us, we hope you will find a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and an opportunity to be changed . Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

How do I become a member?

Good question! We have a membership process that starts with letting us know you are interested in learning more. You can contact us here on the website, and learn more information on our Membership page.

What denominations and associations do you belong to?

Our church family identifies as Baptist, unified about Baptist convictions such as being a local autonomous church with final authority belonging to covenant family members who have been baptized as believers. We formally belong to the Concord Baptist Association, Missouri Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention.

PLEASE NOTE: We exist first & foremost to pursue Christ & His mission, not to be Baptist! So we want to be a Christ-centered, gospel-driven, Scripture-rooted church, standing firmly on the core truths of historical, biblical Christianity.

How do I become a Christian?

This is the best question you could ever ask! Becoming a Christian is not all about rituals, going to our church or any church, or doing some things while refraining from other things. Becoming a Christian is all about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through faith.

This relationship is possible because Jesus–fully God, fully human–came into the world, lived the sinless life we could never live, and then died the death we deserved to die, paying the penalty for our sins. Then he rose from the dead to overcome death and offer us forgiveness & forever life with Him! And we receive this free gift when we receive Christ, turning to trust Him as our Lord & Savior, following Him by faith. Having this relationship with Christ–THAT’s what it means to be a Christian!

If you want to talk with someone more about this or anything else, we are here to listen & help.
